ICCS Live Webinar + Q&A. Skin Sensitization: Safety Assessment Using NAMs for Substances in Cosmetics and Personal Care Products

Date: Thursday, April 9, 2026
Time: 1:00–4:30 PM (Central European Time)
Virtual | Free to Attend

Join the International Collaboration on Cosmetics Safety (ICCS) for an in-depth, implementation-focused webinar exploring how New Approach Methodologies (NAMs) can be effectively applied to skin sensitization safety assessments for cosmetics and personal care products.

Following the July 2025 release of the ICCS Best Practice Guidance Document – Skin Sensitization Assessment: Using New Approach Methods for Substances in Cosmetics and Personal Care Products, this webinar continues that progress by focusing on practical implementation. Regulators and safety assessors will gain practical insight into how defined approaches under OECD Guideline 497 (including the 2 out of 3 (2o3), Integrated Testing Strategy (ITS), and SARA-ICE models) can be applied in regulatory risk assessment to support robust decision-making without the use of animals.

Through real-world case studies and first-hand experiences from ICCS member companies, including Procter & Gamble, Unilever, and L’Oréal, speakers will demonstrate how these approaches can be operationalized in day-to-day safety assessments.

Why you should attend:

  • The ICCS Best Practice document introduces the first ICCS practical workflow designed to build assessor confidence in using non-animal methods for cosmetic safety.
  • This guidance provides industry and regulatory assessors with practical experience to integrate New Approach Methodologies (NAMs) and Next Generation Risk Assessment (NGRA) into daily practice.
  • These best practices are based on the foundational principles for non-animal methods established by the International Cooperation on Cosmetic Regulations (ICCR).

“Regardless if you are a seasoned skin sensitization expert; a general safety assessor; or simply a regulatory affairs practitioner looking to understand the evolving safety assessment landscape and how NAMs and NGRA can facilitate safety and regulatory decisions moving forward, there is something in this webinar for you.”
